Dolphin Strand Feeding Vid on the Folly River
Check out this incredible video of our local resident dolphins doing what they do best: strand feeding! Twice a day on the Folly River, the tide drops and the magic happens. These clever locals have perfected a mind-blowing hunting strategy—they work together to herd schools of baitfish, using their tails and powerful waves to push them right up onto the sandbars. Then, they momentarily slide onto the beach themselves to grab a quick snack before splashing back into the deep water!
It’s such a spectacular show that our neighborhood pods have become full-blown celebrities, starring in documentaries on NatGeo, the BBC, and Netflix! Want to see if we can catch them in action? Grab a paddle and come explore the creeks with us on a low-tide SUP Safari!
